COUNSELING FOR DEPRESSION
FEELING DEPRESSED, DOWN, OR LIKE LIFE IS SPIRALING OUT OF CONTROL?
Depression has become a commonality in todays society and often ignored or not addressed. Depression symptoms can be withdrawal, feeling isolated, feeling helpless, tired and fatigued, lack of interest in hobbies or activities, cutting and self-harm, negative self talk, or lack of motivation. Depression can be addressed in sessions by identifying needs, triggers, externalizing factors such as employment, family dynamics, peer relationships, and intimate relationships. Rebuilding a healthy foundation starts in counseling with learning assertiveness, using therapeutic approaches to stabilize experiences, responses, emotional connections and ties, and setting boundaries.
